William Edgar, Ph.D.
Professor of Apologetics, Westminster Theological Seminary

I was born in north Carolina, but raised in France, as my father was assigned there after the war. Although an agnostic growing up, I had several contacts with the Christian faith, including the Episcopal boarding school St George’s in New England, which I attended for four years. I went to Harvard University, majoring in music. Sophomore year I met an extraordinary instructor, Harold O. J. Brown, who introduced me to the Christian faith as a living, true worldview. In the summer I went to l’Abri,  community high up in the Swiss Alps, and was led to the Lord by Francis Schaeffer, a wonderful apologist and pastor to students from all over the world.

I attended Seminary after college, and married Barbara Smyth. We now have two children and three grand-children. I have taught at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut, the Faculté Libre de Théologie Réformée in Aix-en-Provence, and  Westminster theological Seminary, where I have taught apologetics and ethics for twenty years. My passions include music, particularly jazz, French literature, and soccer-football. I play in a professional jazz band, and run, when I am not feeling too stiff! I am an avid reader and have written extensively on African-American aesthetics, the Huguenots, cultural apologetics, and ethics. I belong to numerous boards and participate in several ministries, including the Gospel & Culture Project, the Trinity Forum, the European Leadership Forum and the Huguenot Fellowship.

Peter Lillback, Ph.D.
President and Professor of Historical Theology, Westminster Theological Seminary

Pete Lillback is the President of Westminster Theological Seminary. He enjoys being President, but his favorite hobbies are hiking and playing his Taylor Liberty Tree Guitar. His hiking has taken him to exotic places to hike and to climb. He has especially enjoyed climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Mount Bromoóthe active volcano in Indonesia, the Grand Canyon in the USA and Mount Warning in Australia. These hikes, of course, have been only been possible for a guy living on a preacherís salary due to his travel duties with Westminster. He has also been a Presbyterian Pastor at three different churches in the greater Philadelphia area for almost 30 years. Pete has been married to Debbie for over 35 years and they have two grown daughters. He loves to write both big books (the record is over 1200 pages) and short articles like the pieces here on this site. You might see him from time to time on television or hear him on the radio. But if you donít see or hear him, and if you never read anything else heís written beyond this web site, his humble request is that you make sure that you read the Bible! Since the Bible is true (see his article here), you will find in it a story even more important and ultimately more exciting than Angels and Demons. On behalf of everyone at Westminster, he also thanks you for visiting this site. Please share the word!
